I am 38 wks pregnant and have this line that has appeared coming up from tailbone(sorry if too graphic but it is coming up from top of crack) It is red and I have actually had a lot of pressure in that spot the past 2 days and just looked and seen the line. Just wanted to see if anyone ever got this.

Ironincally.. i was on this midwife website and they were saying there was another way to see how far you are dialated and how close you were to labor .. that there would be a line down your tailbone, but it was usually hard for women to see.. I thought this way crazy!!!! until i just seen your question.. Ask your doctor about it! im pretty sure thats exactly what it is! sorry i wasnt much help!!

Consider the fact that it could be just a little bit of pressure on your lower back. The weight of a baby always puts pressure on the lower back, and it might be the outline of your spinal cord. But, in any case, the best thing to do would be to contact your doctor as soon as possible. God forbid something serious could be happening, and you don't want to affect both yourself and your child.

No, but have you asked your Dr. Sometimes when there is redness it could be an infection of some sort, even if the skin isn't broken. Best to get this checked out. Good Luck.

I know it's not uncommon for women to get a sort of line down from their belly button while pregnant. Maybe you have something similar, just on your back.
