handle the pain if at the end you got a reward?

There's a reward in actually being able to handle pain at all...
It's just invaluable.. the lessons learned, the experience, knowing your limits, your capabilities.
So it's not about getting a materialistic reward because regardless of that, I'll have learned something new about myself and that's kinda priceless.
