i say go with the Intel Core 2 Duo cause they are king in laptops and you will have better battery life with Intel over AMD.
plus the Intel has a higher L2 cache so that will make up for the .2ghz difference
bottom line go Intel!!!

The Dell Inspiron E1501 is a little faster. It'd be my choice.

Core Duo 2 has much better performance and is more energy efficient then the AMD laptop.

to run aero make sure the video adapter is not integrated
the video card should be 128-256mb

E1501. Thats the exact one I have and its great. I also added extra RAM to make it 2GB.
