I really like this girl in band, and I have been really considering asking her for a long time if she wants to go out. However, she's been really sad for the last couple of days because she didn't make the softball team, so i've been holding off. Is that a good idea or should I keep going and ask her now?

2nd Part : I really don't think her friends like me. With my other ex, we broke up because her friends didn't like me, so they told her crap about me that wasn't true and she got mad. I don't want that to happen again. Should I just try and get her friends to be friends with me, or just ask her out and hope that it all falls together?

First off ask her out and second off it's about her and you not her and you and her or your friends, yes friends are cool and they'll be there for you through the relationship and after if it falls apart but a relationship is about two people not twenty, so go get your girl before some other guy comes along and ask her to be his girl and then your standing out in left field all by yourself that way she can cry on your shoulder about not making the softball team and maybe you can help her get on to a team that she is good at like the team of her and you. GOOD Luck!

Well... if you like her and she likes you it will make her feel better. I mean she didn't make the team but she got the guy that she likes... If she doesn't it shouldn't make a difference. Now there will be two sad person. But you will be able to move on and know how she really feels about you. If she just wants to be a friend with you.. be there for her. She needs of a good friend right now. Maybe something can come off of that friendship..

If her friends don't like you, don't mind them. Be nice to them. Say hi. and good bye, And don't act like an *** with them. One they get to know you better they should realize the real you.

Dont worry about the friends dude, your not there to win their affections your there for her not them.
Yeah it helps to be friends with her's but really at the end of the day it'll be u2 in the relationship not you,her & them.
Really if you want to make an impression on her and her friends just be yourself really cause if you try to be someone else the friends will think your a fake and you dont want that aye dude.

Good Luck

Concentrate on her friends for awhile. See if you really like them, too. Don't try to seperate a girl from her friends and you seem to have had a bad experience with a group of friends before. Take your time and think about asking her out. She'll be much more receptive to the idea if you blend into her life well.

Maybe asking her out so that the two of you can talk about how she feels might
be a good thing for her. If she likes you she won't listen to a lot of gossip--
unfortunately that's what girls do best. Their mouths run away with them and
cause a lot of damage. If you treat this girl gently and with a lot of respect, it
could quash a lot of lies that have been told about you. Maybe you could go for
a coke and dessert & just to talk. Nothing big for now but just be there for her if
that is what you want to do. Good luck. Maybe you can let us know how things
turned out down the road. I'd love to find out.

Go ahead and ask her out and if the subject of the softball team comes up, be supportive but don't overdo the pity part.

As to her friends, don't worry about that until such time as you know if she is interested in you. Then you can try to sway her friends.

If you wait for the perfect time, opportunity, weather...atmospher...you will be waiting all your life...you must understand each girl is different...and why would her friends not like you...???

If you want to ask her out, go do it and do it with confidence...if she says no...so what.??? Ask her what would Cheer her up the most right now??? she will say..whatever...and either do it or tell her well; how about a movie...or whatever you want to take her to....

If she says,,get lost...tell her ... OK I am going to go find myself before someone else finds me...stuff like that try to be humorous...not silly....
