in huxley's book, "brave new world" is the character lenina's name pronounced "le-nina" or "lenin-a"?

i've been reading it as "le-nina" but i'm american, and since huxley was english and the story is set (for the most part) in england i figured it is probably supposed to be pronounced as "lenin-a".

Pronounciation doesn't really matter, my English teacher has horrible pronunciation and spelling. I don't know what the difference is between the first two...I think the first one since there's an emphasis on "nin" part.

I read that book last year for Honors English 10, it was pretty good.

I pronounce it le-nee-na, like you do.
Just stick with what makes you most comfortable reading it.
