In 1999 we had a solar eclipse, I was working in Manchester City Centre and watched it outside my block. Then, driving home on the motorway, I burst into tears for no apparent reason and sobbed my heart out for the 30 min drive.

Last Saturday, it was a lunar eclipse, me and my friend littereally fell out of the front door to watch it (we were drunk!)... but moments later I had a right barny with my boyfriend and ended up in tears.

So, like we can have sad syndrome and all that, can these eclipses send you a bit strange?

Beware the moon!

The moon has power enough to affect the tides of the ocean. I personally believe that the moon can affect humans.
I am lunar sensitive myself. When the moon is full I get a dull headache and have trouble sleeping. There are times of the year when the pull of the moon is fuller. Those nights I can be awake all night, feeling restless.

When I was a nurse in a psychiatric Hospital the patients were defiantly more of a hand full. When I worked in a convalescent home we had more patients die. When I worked in OB, we had more babies born. Also, A cop friend of mine said that there was defiantly more crime during a full moon.

The three days before full moon and the three days after the full moon have some power. My daughter delivered her children close to full moon and my dad died around full moon.

I don't doubt that an eclipse has some power over certain individuals.

Interesting...the same thing happened to me when I was about 13 or 14.

I remember that I felt angry and sad all day. I got into a couple fights and just went to bed early. I woke up around 9pm and my sister told me about the lunar eclipse. We went out to look at the moon, which was kind of a pink color, and I started feeling angry and sad again.

The next day I was fine. The moon might have more effect on us than we realize.

OK! Here's what happens:
Animals normally hunt in the dark. When the moon is full, two things happen. The prey can see the predator with greater ease. This causes panicked reactions. The predator to catch the prey and prey to escape the predator. This creates noise and also disturbs our pets, which, in turn, disturbs us. We have a restless sleep or suffer from insomnia. Ergo the full moon makes us restless.
Now, when the eclipse occurs this throws the wild kingdom and our pets all out of whack. We again become disturbed and irritable. Hence the fight. Again, the moon causes it.

Circadian rhythms are integral in our behavior. We are finely tuned to them.

Full moons have been known to affect peoples moods so an eclipse would most likely do it to.
Lunatic was formed with Luna = moon

I personally have not been effected by the moon or at least I have never noticed.

Usually, people that affect your emotions are close to you, either through the family or work. They are around you enough to know how they make you feel and we put up our guard. I suppose we would have to be able to dig way down in our brains to find out why some people get to us and others don't. It can be unnerving, cant it?

The moon does seem to have an affect on ones emotions. Full moons affect some of my friends! Mostly they get more cheery during this phase I pleased to say.

They could if you let the awe of the occurrence get to you emotionally. But, if you think scientifically about the occurrence, they won't.

To me, scientifically or not, I am somehow moved. Could it be the awe, fear, admiration.? Honestly, I do not know.

Do not beware them! Enjoy the happening, and the tears. It is a cleansing experience; good for the eyes and the soul.

I have heard that eclipses CAN affect your emotions, but don't discount the fact that you may be weird anyway. If you are more power to you.

Everything that happens in the Heavens effects our emotions. But you're still weird anyway.
