Whenever I run a draft for fantasy baseball it is very slow, and often I click the "draft" button and it doesn't do anything until after my turn, causing it to give me a player I didn't want.

I would like to know how i can help this if it is possible, thank you

If your internet connection is dial up - forget it. If you are on DSL or Cable, it is related to your computer. When you open the draft window, close all other windows, that means you can't have any other browsers open to a stats page, so print them out. Check your system memory, if you are using Windows XP you should have at least 256MB. If you have less then not much will help you. Stale cached credentials can also slow you down as will programs running in the background. To clear your cache, in Internet Explorer click on Tools and then choose Options - if you have IE7 just go to the second section down under Browsing History and click on Delete. If you have IE6, then click on Tools and choose Internet Options. In the General tab delete your History and Temporary Files. Then click on the Content tab along the top and clear Forms and Password from AutoComplete. This will clear any invalid credentials that may have been saved.

Reboot your computer as well. Check your System Tray - it is the box on the bottom right hand side of your windows screen - where the clock is. If you see more than 8 or 9 icons to the left of the clock you are probably torturing your computer with too many programs running at once.

If you have time, check your hard drive - if it is more than 70% full it will slow you down as well. Open My Computer and right click on your C: drive, to defragment your drive click on Tools tab and choose Defragment Drive Now - it will check your drive and give you options. Warning Defrag can take hours, it's best to do it before going to bed.

It is common for this to happen in slower computers. The web page for a draft requires a high speed internet connection if it is to load normally. Otherwise it takes forever. I used to have this problem when I had a slower computer, and my solution was to make sure I logged on very early, and restart your computer before you log on. That way it should run better. It has always worked for me, and hopefully it works for you!

Try updating your Java (the program that runs the draft). Maybe you have an old version?

Sounds to me like you either need a newer cpu or an updated version of java. One thing you can do is pre-draft.
