au
When I was 17, I was on this date with a guy- he was being rude, and when I asked him to take me home,he refused! I noticed there was a guy,( in the restaurant also) he had been watching what was going on,at a point he got up came to our table and asked,"is this person bothering you?" (he was very muscular) Of corse I said yes,he is! He very politely took my hand and led me out of the place, and took me home! Always a gentleman....we dated for a time, talked about marriage, however we did not wed. That was 43 yrs. ago-and we are still good friends,we talk on the phone often. GOOD MAN! He had 6 kids w/his wife, and I have had 3 kids!

Within 2 minutes. I showed up late by about 20 minutes because of heavy traffic on Chicago's outer Interstates trying to get to the NW Suburbs, and I drove 55 miles to get to my date's home.

When she opened the door, although she said "HI,......a little late aren't you"? She gave me dirty looks and started raking me over the coals although this was only our 3rd date, and she didn't even act with any tact or show felxibility let alone for me to explain in consideration of her and on my own merits.

It's not like we had reservations or even if we planned a movie we could catch the next one. She showed me enough right in that little time of what kind or person she would be if things didn't go right, and her mind only led her to negative thoughts and a grand display of inflexibility along with not even offering me the benefit of the doubt of a situation many people deal with on a Friday evening at the near end of rush hour.

Okay it wasn't 2 minutes. I'd say it was 10 minutes max. Then I decided to leave.

Using my discernment, and since she showed lack of conscience, I pursued other opportunities.

My story is really standard, so not very exciting--I answered a personals add, met the guy for coffee, knew as soon as I saw him that i wasn't interested, but stayed long enough to drink my coffee and have a pleasant conversation. We were supposed to go for dinner afterwards if we were attracted, so I think it was clear to both of us that it wasn't going anywhere when I thanked him for the coffee and left.

All in all, I'd say 30 minutes.

Before it even began. I was supposed to meet a blind date at a restaurant and told him to sit in the first seat at the bar, I was already there when he came in and sat down, he wasn't my type so I left and called his cell to tell him I couldn't make it because I had to work late.
