how does color affect memory?

I did this project a few years ago. I made up 2 lists of words for other people to memorize. One list was in black print. The other list was written in color. I had the people look over the list for a minute and then right down as many words as they could remember. Then I compared the results to see if more people remembered more colored words or black and white words.

This is a project I did a few years ago. I tested different SPF levels of sunscreen to see exactly what effect this would have on exposure to sunlight.

I tested this using color-changing paper and transparency paper. I taped the color-changing paper to the back of the transparency and then spread a layer of sunscreen on the transparency. Then I laid it on a flat surface in the sunlight for two minutes. After that I removed the transparency paper w/ sunscreen on it and there was a noticeable change in the color of the paper, especially between the different SPF levels.

This is a great project because it's simple and easy to write about. You'll learn a lot and it is very useful during those hot, summer days!
