We have bought a used 1982 glass stream bass boat? To register the boat I need to find the serial number to do a pencil tracing of it on the Texas Department of Wildlife form and I can not find it anywhere. Any assistance will be appreciated!

'82?? look under all the seats...might get lucky. if it's a legal hull, it will be on the stbd. side on the transom.

Your boat number is on the aft section. It will be located, if standing behind, to your right, somewhere, above the water line. If it is not there someone has removed for a reason, i.e., was stolen at one time, an owner reported stolen or sunk and removed not to be traced by insurance company, who knows why it is not there, etc.
This is the required location of all boat manufacturers to place this information. The last two digits on ALL boats indicates year.
