If you decide to go to college, you can take your gen eds first and then see if anything specifically strikes your interest. Nobody expects you to know what you want to do with the rest of your life when you are in high school. People more than likely expect you to at least have a direction, but not a profession in mind.

For instance, when I was in high school, I wanted to be a psychologist. I then took a couple of business classes and found that I loved business and that this was what I wanted to do. I majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources... I got out of school this May and found that HR is a difficult field to get into. I went to a temp agency and got this case administrator job at a life insurance company. It fits into the business admin field, so it is sort of what I went to school for, but in a more round about way. I like it a lot... but I would have never thought before that this would be my profession....

Keep your options open and go after something that you like.
