Hi Rita :)

I've been there before and it's not as hard as it seems. Are you starting a new year or are you going in the middle of the year? Either way it doesn't matter but I started half way through the year and I was terrified that I was going to be a "loner" - The way to assure you won't spend your 1st lunch alone talk to what ever kid is sitting closest to you.... it will be easier to make a girl your first friend so that you don't get a bad rep. and of course pick someone who you think you would want to talk to or hang out with. Just start off by introducing yourself and the ask her for her name. Once you have broken the ice it will be more confortable to have a conversation. Ask her if she would mind showing around :)

It worked for me and I was lucky enough to end up with some of the coolest kids in school. I ended up going to H.S. with them and we are still friends :)

Good Luck! and you will be just fine :) Your butterflies will go away once you make your 1st friend. Then he/she will introduce you to their friends.

Well be yourself for the first week. And you will be nervous but there is nothing to be nervous about. Its good to put your self out there and join teams at your school to meet new people. Didnt worry if you had friends before than you are more likely to have friends again. It might take a while but people will come up to you. Good luck

Get to know the people at the new school. Try not to put yourself out there right away or people might not like you. Be nice to everyone and try to be helpful. It will be easy and you will eventually really like it!!

Just be yourself- (well, don't be mean.) I am sure you will make new friends. If they don't like you, then that is their loss.
