Sometimes. Video Games can be used for Social or AntiSocial. Social is when playing with friends, used like for house parties or friend group. Social games are Sports and games that has more than 1 player. Winning Eleven is a good option. My friends compete for be the best, and we play for fun.
Antisocial can come for solo games like Okami, GTA, games that doesn't have multiplayer. Antisocial Behavior comes in a playing of much hours and some friends (1 or 2). This can come bad, it needs attention. I have a friend, he played too much time MMORPG Games (Helbreath, a Diablo bad-imitation games with the score of 0.25/5). He played too much time and he didn't talked. He invited friends for a Birthday Party and he didn't got out of the computer.

Video Games can be, sometimes, a conversation. You can ask for cheats, help, games or consoles. You can ask about a secret item and thank him. It can be used for start a conversation (instead of general conversations, like weather status).
