AHH i have been there and done that ,go to www.uscis.gov you will find a listing of all the forms andpaperwork that need to be filed. It is a long process it cost my Husband and myself about 2000$ including lawyer fees .I obtained my green card however inless than 8 months.Your Fiance cannot become an American citien unltil he has legally resided in the United States for at least 3 years.Your fiance will become a Conditional permanent resident for 2 years then he has to remove the Conditions to apply for a 10 year green card then Citizenship.Try www.immigrationportal.com join that site and you will get almost any question you have answered my memeber name is fedup2k6 good luck by the way.

I'm sure you could go to INS website and he could always go to the American Embassy. They should be able to give him all the information he needs. I do know that if you do marry, it shouldn't be a problem getting him here into the country legally.

However, it's not just a matter of filling out a few forms for him to become a citizen even if you are married. Not sure how long it takes but it's not so easy.

I have no idea of the cost.
