Buy a trimmer and trim it as close as possible. Also when you do shave always use a brand new razor. Don't use soap!!! Use either hair conditioner or Alveeno Shaving cream. Also pick up an after shave lotion. I use Victoria's Secret! I have really senitive skin so I get razor burn all the time. I can't shave it every day...start out slow. Use the razor over the area once and wait 2 days....then do it again.

Pay attention to what you're doing and where you're going with any hair trimming device when working around the pubic area. Definitely take your time and make sure you have good visibility when working around the vulva. Nicks in the area can bleed a lot and hurt. Use a mirror if necessary.

First use scissors or even electric clippers to reduce the bulk down to a shaveable length, ~0.25".

If your hair is relatively stiff, then shave during or after a shower or bath. Obviously, you don't want to use an electric razor that's not designed for wet shaving. Edge - Extra Protection shaving gel is the best I've found. Gillette and Rise gels are poor 2nd placers. Aloe vera has been suggested by some, but it doesn't have enough film protection in my experience. Olive oil and baby oil may work for some, but you'll need to some soap to clean up, whereas shaving gels and creams just wash off with water.

Don't try to shave the skin clean the first time. Go over once and take perhaps 50-75% of the hairs, then rewet, shaving gel, and shave again.

The itching is from regrowth and the sharp tips poking the skin from various directions. Shaving regularly will prevent it from reaching this stage. Depending on your hair growth rate, this is typically every 1-3 days.

Moisturizer or body lotion may be used as desired after a shaving session.

There is the full range of men out there who like everything from dense shrubbery to cue ball smooth.on women. Find out what your guy likes first, and then adjust as desired. Judging from current photograpy, the US fashion for women is to have minimal to no pubic hair.

Provided are a few websites with tips and views on shaving. If you really like the look and don't want to be bothered with the shaving, you might consider RF laser hair removal. It's not cheap though. Expect about $250-350 per session and plan on 3-6 sessions for lasting results.

Use an electric shaver. Remington electric shavers are good, but the best electric shaver for the bikini area is the Seiko Cleancut Shaver. Always use plenty of lotion after you shave. Lotion prevents your skin from burning. Some people do itch. The reason they itch so much is because they shave so close to the skin. Most of them use razors. An electric shaver doesn't cause as much irritation as a razor. Those Venus razors for women work fine for underarms and legs, but they don't work as well for shaving the bikini area.

When shaving anything you need to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. A lotion with essential oils or olive oil is good.

I've dated men that like it and men that don't. The ones that don't say its like not wanting to have sex with a child. So, the ones that do like, kind of freak me out now.
