The cause is natural instinct. The consequence is balkanization and conflict.
This is why diverse and multicultural societies are nothing more than fantasies in white liberals minds and are doomed to failure.

To segregate is natural. We do it on holidays,and in our society. When 'integration' is forced on us the results are clashes between the two or more cultures. The cause is wanting to be surrounded by your own,the consequences i believe are none.

RACISM! Just look around this site. I agree with Mac too.
Fear and being taught faulty history. I don't ever learning the real history of the US in elementary school. I never learned about the horrific things Americans have done to its' people. US history in schools implies that the European race is superior, and people actually believe it!
Parents teach those ideas to their kids and so on.
It's very sad, but unless we change racism will continue to exist.

Fear is the cause, fear is the consequence. This leads to white flight, gentrification, etc.
