I have on fake, acrylic nails. Well, today I punched my brother (because he hit me first) and my pinky finger nail cracked ( the fake nail and my real nail) and my real nail started bleeding..Should I take the fake nail off?But to do that, I would have to use nail remover and it's too strong, it will burn wayyy too bad & cause alot of pain. Or should I just leave it on until my real nail heals and then take it off?..or any more suggestions, please help. Thanks!!

Leave the acrylic nail on, trimming as much of it as possible, and do your best to clean the cut with soap and warm water, as well as with an antiseptic (hydrogen peroxide, neosporin, etc.). Removing the artificial nail with nail remover, will only cause an infection. After you gently clean the cut, put a band aid on it.

Cut off as much of the acrylic nail tip as possible. This will help to prevent more ripping. The only way for you to take off the nail yourself IS nail polish remover with acetone. It would be best to try to brave the pain so you can keep the wound clean and prevent infection. However, if it is too much, keep it as clean as you can and use a band-aid.

I would say to leave the nail on but be sure to use hydorgen peroxide on the nail. You don't want an infection. If the nail starts to get irritated, I suggest using the nail remover as a last resort.

There is no way that nail will grow back,The fake nail will have to come off too. That is a set-up for infection leave the nail alone, and apply some sort of antibacterial ointment to the nail, wrap the finger with a gauze dressing, tape it down, and see your MD,he will have to remove the nail,to prevent any infection to the nailbed. Keep the dressing clean & dry until you see him or her. Take care. SW RNP

I've been there and dam it hurts, I'd go back to whoever did your nails and have them help you, of course at your brothers expense!!
The pressure hurts like hell doesn't it? don't leave it too long though in case of infection. Putting your finger in a glass of iced water will help and add a little disinfectant just in case.
I'd be wary of taking the false nail off yourself with any kind of remover because that really will hurt. Good luck.

Have a professional nail person take care of this as soon as possible. You would be surprised out how many people get medical problems i.e. infections from fake nails and manicures. I would never put that stuff on my hands, but that is your choice so you should have it fixed by a pro.

well yeah you should obviously wait for it to heal.
soak your finger in hot water with a teaspoon of salt mixed in(don't burn yourself!)
it will sting but that's because salt instantly kills bacteria. It will only be a little painful for a minute or so, and it will help your real nail heal waaaayyy faster. About 2 or 3 days.
keep a bandaid on it so you don't hurt it more.

Oh yes, that will burn like hell! I've done it before. Wrap it in a bandaid and have it removed once your nail heals.
