i recently bought a new heat sink and fan. i installed it properly and when i booted up my computer everything was swell, but as soon as the computer fully booted the CPU fan shut down. i rebooted it and the CPU fan worked until the windows log on screen popped up then the fan shut down again. I've tried different fans none work. How can i fix this

ive connected a cpu fan to the CHAS_fan and the chassis fan to the CPU_fan to not overheat my cpu but i would like to make it work how its SUPPOSED TO.

ok only the old cpu fan works on this thing the only difference it has is its smaller and it is 600rpms faster. the new fans i am using are not malfunctioning since ive tried them on my other system and they work

Hi. Some fans have speed controllers, either software or hardware. Sounds like yours needs to be reset. Try 'SpeedFan", a free program, to see what's going on. DOT NOT OVERHEAT YOUR CPU!

check the temp setting in bios prob too high set it to default
