i dont plan on doing this to my self or anyone, but it just seams that its weird that they would charge for something that might cuase trauma to and individual, and at a very yong age - WI hese.

For newborns I've heard anywhere from $150 (from a person that posted on here) to $400 (from a friend who's father is a pediatrician). I'm sure it varies by doctor and region, also if they use pain control... even though the cream shouldn't cost that much. But for a painful procedure that takes only a few minutes, it is a lot. But then again, look at dentists, haha. For an adult male they charge a bit more, but that's because you're asleep during the operation, something that can't be done to babies.

One of the reasons that so many newborns in the US are still circumcised is that this is a simple operation to add on to a childbirth admission. It's a cash cow for the surgeons.

The American Pediatric Association no longer recommends routine circumcision - Pediatricians are supposed to explain this to parents.

The rate of circumcisions in the US continues to fall - it is now below 60%.

It will cost, him pain and the loss of the protective sheath over his glans. It will cost him sexual pleasure his entire adult life. It will cost him the feeling of bodily integrity that intact men have.

I don't where you live and I don't know the price. Best to check with your doctor.
