I am so very confused. My cell phone clock has not been changed and right now it says it really should be 6:00 when it's 7:00. I know it's spring ahead and fall back so that leads me to believe I gained an hour. But, if it should be 6 but is 7 I lost an hour right? My brother was like well what is 6:00 last night to 7:00 tonight you have 25 hours not 24. Can someone please explain this to me?

You lost an hour of sleep
The tilt of the earth changed and now it's pointed more TOWARDS the sun, so you get more light. So, shorter nights, longer days.
Spring forward.

In fall, just the opposite happens.
The titl is more away, so longer nights and less days, so you gain an hour....FALL BACK .

If you had to get up at say 7:00 am and its really 6:00 because time JUMPED ahead then you LOST an Hour.. In the fall when it goes back if you go to bed at 2:00 am and then time goes back an hour to 1:00 then you gain an hour.

You lost an hour of sleep. You went to bed at say 10. At midnight it changed to 1. So instead of sleeping from midnight to 8, you're sleeping from 1 to 8. That means you lost an hour. Does this clear things up?

I believe you lost an hour of sleep.... I think, because you are putting the clocks ahead, so you would be getting up an hour earlier then what you are used to.
