Do I have any rights when they set up a space station or do you think I was conned?
It's not too bad - special offer - buy one, get one free.

The word con is a bit harsh.

Let's be honest, you're never going to get up there to claim your territory so for all intents and purposes, you COULD say the claim is valid.

In reality, you do not own the any of the moon, the same company does Mars, too.
My suggestion is to take the whole thing as a bit of fun. The claim is as real as you want it to be. When someone challenges your claim you can ask if they're going to go up and take it off you. You're getting a nice certificate and stuff, I assume, so enjoy it for what it is. It makes little differnce whether the claim is valid or not

The 'name a star after yourself' group are far more insidious. They claim to be able to legally change the name of classified stars but they can't. Somehow I find this much more of a con than people selling moon territory.

And don't get me on to the people claiming to sell Titles like Baron, Lord, etc.

If you really want a bit of the moon, you can buy fragments of meteorites which came from there. For the price of your two acres you can buy about 30mg of real moon rock [it's about the size of an average toenail clipping]

Be careful though. The stuff retails for x100 that of gold so be sure you know the stuff is for real before you buy. [Contact the British and Irish Meteorite Society for more details, everybody]

The space station will be floating around Earth. And since you own the land on the moon, NASA cant place the moon base on your turf. You'll also probably have to pay heavy taxes as well for owning a peice of the moon. In a sence, ya, you just got conned.

well i personally wouldn't think of buying anyyhing like that.however if you really can claim over that land and in future if you strike any luck then its not a bad gamble. people spend money on things,material.....alcohol,cigrates..... spoil there health and wealth in the end gain nothing. just it might give somekind of satisfaction at that time maybe latter regret.
so you haven't done a blunder buying the two acre of moon.which makes you proud untill you finally know whether someone could really claim the moon and sell it two you.
on the other hand if someone can legally own and sell you moomland then certainly you would have right.and then you can only wish the day come quicker for you to see if you gained anything out of it.
untill that time you are certainlly conned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not a con or a scam, it's just a novelty item, like naming a star after someone. I'm sure if you read the fine print carefully, there is some statement about it being for entertainment purposes or some other similar disclaimer.

Sorry to tell you this but I don't think that you can really own the land on the moon. That kind of thing is a scam.

And I own 3/4 of new york including 2/3 of manhatten. You own nothing but whatever confidence someone sold you.

Did the person who sold it to you have legal ownership? If not, then you got conned. As far as I know nobody has legal ownership of the Moon or anyplace on it.

There is no legal land ownership of the moon, whatever the guy on ebay told you. Its a novelty item.

I think it's more of a fun thing to brag about.

Nobody "owns/owned" the acres on the moon so how can they sell it?

Frame the "deed" and have fun with it. :)

You were conned. By international treaty, nobody owns the moon.
