Get a can of prep-sol from your local hardware store this will desolve the sap and not harm the paint.

Butter will take tree sap off of your car... Good Luck!

You can either buy a paint cleaner or you could take it to the carwash.The pre-soak cycle at most carwashes will take off the sap.

Bug & Tar Remover works fine. It's available at auto parts stores, WalMart, Target and some 24 Hour Stops.
