i wouldn't worry about that. you shouldn't really be snorkeling in deep water anyways where sharks are present.

Sharks can pick up on a drop of blood from 1/4 mile away. Ask your instructor if you will be anywhere in the vicinity of sharks. Barracuda are night feeders, so no problem. The other fish you might encounter shouldn't be a problem, but I would double check about sharks in the area. For those who just say to make certain you have a clean tampon, it will not necessarily be that clean after twenty minutes in the water.

You *should* be okay if you're wearing a tampon. Be sure to change it shortly before beginning. If you are planning on snorkeling in an area heavily populated with sharks, ask the advice of your snorkel instructor.

Yes, you can snorkel while you're on your period. Just make sure that you change your tampon shortly before going in, and that it will last the entire time you plan to be out swimming. Have fun!

I wouldn't do it. However, if you have on a wetsuit maybe the sharks won't smell the blood.
