Does anyone know a webiste of like all the types of doctors and what they do? I want to be a doctor, so I want to decide what kind. Also, say I make it into Johns Hopkins, how long would I stay there and what are some good med schools? Also, how long would I stay in med school? If I become a surgeon, would I have to stay in med school for a longer amount of time, or would I go to a different school? Where do people go after completing med school? a teaching hospital?

If you make it to John Hopkins, you stay there as long as you like or as long as they let you. If you want to complete a degree, most people take 3-5 years.

Med school takes 4 years. You don't train to be a specific type of doctor in med school, so everyone takes 4 years (unless they flunk a test/class).

Your residency is the program in which you train to be a particular type of doctor. You apply for residencies at the end of med school. Residencies and further training are typically 3-7 years. Surgeons take 5 years and more.

Yes, residencies are done at teaching hospitals. That's because as a resident, you're still learning.w

First of all, you should be concerned about getting in a medical school. There ia a lot of MEdical School in the US which are good. If you want to be a surgeon if would take you at least 12 year after you graduate from med school. Best luck!
