Hello, I am a college freshman and this survey is for my U.S. government class. I have to ask 50 people, preferably an equal amount of men and women.

1. If a draft were to occur (all military positions, not just the front lines), do you believe women should be included?

If yes....

2. Should the women be allowed to fight on the front lines?

Please include your:
Sex
Religion
Age
Race
and Occupation

These factors will be used to present the information I have gathered from the survey in a graph.

only because women are crying for equal rights do i vote in favor of women being required to register for the draft. they should be conscripted and allowed to fight on the front lines.

The idea of a draft means that the country has a requirement for citizenship other than birth. The Israeli government has a sensible plan that requires all able bodied people to do something for the country. Women do not belong in the infantry for many of the same reasons they do not belong in professional football. The infantry live in holes dug into the ground for weeks. In Armor and Artillery, they live in or with their machines for weeks. It's not the work, it's the living conditions and if you can eliminate the sex drive of young men and women you could probably make the camping out/ in work. The movie "Jar Heads" is a good example of what healthy young men do when isolated for months. There are many military jobs women can do better than men. Lets stop pretending men and women are the same. Mother nature does not give a damn.

1.) Yes, even if the women didn't serve on the front lines they could serve somewhere and make a really important contribution to the war effort.
2.) On the issue of the front lines...I'm a little torn because war is hell and there is a chance that if captured by a enemy like a terrorist that they would do unspeakable things to them that might not happen to a man. I would give the commanders on the ground the choice to deny or allow a woman in their unit on the front lines after all it's their asses on the line. But I know some women would want front-line duty. So I guess my answer until proven wrong by battle is "yes" allow it.

1. Yes. It's the 21st Century. Women are equal to men, and therefore should be included in drafts as well. Things now are a lot different then they were back when only men fought. Us women have shown that we can be just as good at things, if not better, than men.

2. Of course, for the same reason.

Absolutely Not!
Women have no place serving in combat roles in the military, it compromises us militarily, and the resources and capabilities of our armed services
Not to mention causes conflicts in relationships between male and female soldiers that shouldn't be.
I have no problem with women as equals, mentally, but only an idiot thinks men & women are equal physically!!!

Absolutely they should be included, it would be unfair to the male population to leave them out. Equal rights works both ways, Im not saying some posistions wouldn't be harder than others but it is the same for men as women in that regard..

Yes. Yes they should, women fought for equal rights, so they have the right to go and fight. Why should women be able to enjoy our freedoms, if they aren't willing to fight for it.?
