I would love to go see my family in Europe with our 4 month old baby girl. But my husband and pediatrician are saying to wait until she is 6-8 month old. We also have a friend who traveled with her 4 month son overseas and he was fine. On the other hand we have a friend who flew overseas wit a 7 month old and he became very sick when they came back. I would say that the best time is determined by you and your baby. If you feel that you are ready you can try to travel. I will wait until my daughter is about 7-8month, I don’t think she is ready now and I don’t really want her to suffer for 10 hours in a plane yet.

you have to be certain what's maximum needed to you - what your newborn desires or what your mom needs. families like this are worse that having no kinfolk. I advise you write a letter on your mom. tell her you like her, you relish that she desires to help yet you ought to try this your way. you are able to say it in a advantageous way, clarify you're new at this and ought to verify and which would be impossible with some like her around who's SO good at parenting. yet additionally be company. Make it sparkling, you choose this time with only your new kinfolk - you, hubby and infant - and once you're waiting you will invite kinfolk over, one by one, and could relish her help and ask if she would be able to clarify this to different kinfolk alongside with why you will invite her first. Then forget approximately approximately it and don't experience undesirable. in actuality, it would be very gracious of you in case you do forgive your mom. make optimistic she knows what she did become unacceptable, yet for the reason which you like her you're waiting to forgive her see you later as there is in no way a repeat of this undesirable, egocentric behaviour. persist alongside with your weapons - in case you enable her take over now, you purely isn't in charge of your individual existence and it will purely worsen.

We went to Hawaii when my daughter was 2 months old to visit my in-laws. I know that Hawaii isn't a different country, but it was over a 17 hour trip from Wisconsin, and it was cleared by her pediatrician and my OB (he wanted me to wait until my 6 week check up.)
