I am currently working on a degree in business. Do I have to have a degree in education to be a teacher? Or can I have a degree in business, obtain my teaching certificate, and become a social studies or business teacher?

I am obtaining the business degree b/c my company pays for schooling that is related to your current job.....and this is my only option. However, my true wish is to be a teacher.

I'm not sure if PA requires a degree in education or if you can obtain a separate teaching certificate. Your company is expecting you to remain with them for a few years since they are paying for the education so keep this in mind. They may ask you to pay back some or all of your education costs if you quit immediately after getting the degree.
