Maybe because finger nailpolish can wear off much quicker since we use our hands so much in our day to day life so it chips off easily (very frustrating). Compared to that toe nailpolish lasts longer.

I don't know really. But my guess would be that it's a lot easier to paint your own toes while painting your own fingers can be tricky. If you are right handed it's hard to paint your right hand because you don't have as steady of a left hand to do it with. Does that make sense? Well if you have ever tried than you know what I mean. Plus I have met people who just don't like the look of painted fingernails. They chip faster than toenails too! That's just some reasons I could think of...

Well, I guess, there doesn't have to be a specific reason but there could be several possibilities. I paint my fingernails but not my toenails because they are ugly and I have a problem with ingrown toenails. Wish I could paint them and not have to hide them.

I don't like to paint my fingernails because it makes my hands sweat. Sounds crazy but it's true. The toenails however are ok.

I paint my toenails because it looks cute and not boring when I wear shoes/sandals/etc. I do not paint my fingernails because it either comes down to me biting them, chipping them, or messing them up while they're drying.

Personally I don't paint my nails much because the paint always manages to chip of and besides I get compliments that my nails look naturally beautiful. And the toe nails, well I paint them all the time because I live in Arizona, and I wear sandals....It Get's HOT!! lol

It is a pleasure answering this... toe nails are bigger than finger nail... so... colour them to give a better look rather than keeping it bare... ..2) When ppl go out wearing open shoes,, slippers... it gives a boost... 3) protects your feminine look 4) add value to you 5) It is not dull any more if you colour your toe nails.. 6) But still very well cleaned toes are generally kept without applying colours... a gloss will do.. if I explain a little bit on that mater... when ever you apply colours on your toe nails ... the natural colour of the nail fades away in a few days or hours... My opinion is to keep your nails free of colour...

Simple, painting your toe nails looks good in the summer with open shoes/sandals. last a long time too, as the toe nails don't get chipped as often as painting your nails.
I always paint my toe nails in the summer, but my finger nails only when I go out because they look ghastly once chipped and the busier ones lifestyle the more chipped the finger nails become.

Guilty! I don't grow my fingernails and I think that short fingernails look stupid painted. I constantly wear flip-flops though and I have to have pretty toes. Toes are so ugly anyways, you gotta give em some kinda help!

Well, I paint my toenails so that they look cute with sandals in the summertime. I don't paint my finger nails because I would have to repaint every day to keep them looking good. Also, if you wear nail polich too long it turns your nails yellow. I have naturally long beautiful nails and like to keep them that way.

Some ppl have nice fingernails, so they choose to show them off, same thing with toenails.
