if you cant do it on your own, you should try to get psycoligical help (thats what my friend did and now she is fine). just stay away from rasor blades and other sharp things that you may use to cut yourself. cutting yourself is a really big problem and it could really hurt you!! try getting help from parents or a school counslor

Well I will say this from experience, I use to cut myself also, and I didn't know how to stop. Well I took a turn for the worst and cutting led to other things that is when it hit me. WHY WAS I HURTING MYSELF? You must be depressed in some way. The best way I found to help myself was to go for walks and to think about what is bothering you. Keeping a journal also helps. These things will help keep you from cutting yourself think of it this way instead of hurting yourself help yourself. If non of these things work for you try something you like to do rather than cutting yourself, also think of all the posative things in your life rather than the negative.

Ok, Jessica,
You won't like my answer, but it's the one that will help you.
Tell your parents what you're doing and that you want help in the form of counseling.
If you can't tell your parents, then you can talk to your doctor privately.
If you can't talk with your doctor, then call public health and ask for a referral to a therapist that will see a kid for free.
Get help now and have a better life.
Avoid help and your life will get darker and harder.
Get your act together and you can start making friends again.

My friend this is not something you can stop by yourself. This is serious and you need adult help. Parents? Grandparents, teacher a friends mom, aunt, uncle even the school nurse. Sombody that can direct you to a professional, you can even talk to your Doctor about it. PLease find someone. Your friends are to young to understand and it may even be a bit scary for them. It is a sign that something inside is getting wrong signals. Some times our feeling get really screwed up and we do things like cutting to let the feeling out. Talking about them is the answer but you need to feel safe and ok to do so. Please promise to use your words to find someone to help you stop. It can be done and you will feel much better. Promise!

hey, I'm 14 years old too and i know what's it like to feel so much hatered towards one self and others.. I too used to cut myself but i didn't go to therapy or anything like that. I told myself that it was the devil trying to make me do something bad, and that it wasn't worth doing it... The reason i was cutting myself is because i wanted to die, i can't lie and tell you that i don't think about it anymore, because i still do sometimes. My addiction to cutting my self was such to an extreme that i lost my boyfriend... and i loved him..but w/e. Let me tell you, there is no point in cutting yourself no point at all... keep yourself occupied so that you don't think about it. The problems that are troubling you will be in the back of your mind, but keep yourself busy, never just sit around and think, don't let your mind wander off. Don't anything stupid like actually dieing for some problems you might be having. I understand what's its like to feel like your worthless and all these other horrible things about yourself just remember what i had to say, never let your mind wander off.

Hi there, I don't know anything a bout cutting, BUT I wonder if you have supportive parent's- could discuss this problem with them? Sometimes teenagers forget their parent's love them more than anyone and would do anything for them. If my daughter was having this problem I would want to help her. I would get her into counseling and tell her I was here for her and anytime she had the urge to cut herself to come to me so we could talk about what was going on inside her.

Please talk with a school counselor, an adult family friend, or the parents of a friend. You need to get this under control. If you can find the reasons this is happening you can still lead a very normal, happy life. You have already taken the first step.

Go talk to your school counsellar and get some numbers that you can call or a therapist's card and then go and visit that therapist - talk it out with your parents and friends too...you need their support and im sure they will be happy to be there for you. Good luck =]
