Pontiac Grand Am 1995 Fan Problem?
Pontiac Grand Am 1995 Fan Problem?
I have a question about my car. I am wondering why the fan is letting my car heat up so much. My normal temp before all this was always at around 140 degree's. I didnt have a problem with it before but just today my fan is not coming on until the temp reaches 220 degree's and then will go off when it gets to around 190 degree's or so. Wondering if it is the relay switch or coolant temp switch? Please Help so I can fix! Thanks

could be the sensor for the gage is bad or there could be a seperate sensor for the fan .could also be low on coolant.

Um frist verify all fuse's contained in the sprint and lower than hood. If those are reliable then verify the relationship on the fan motor it may has only wriggled loose and in no way touching yet when that no longer the project then Its the Cooling fan swicth relay. consumer-friendly or if you're truly reliable you are able to verify all of those besides the undeniable fact that the only i could verify could be to attempt this: Unplug the swicth from the motor and make a peice of cord attain prong to warm aspect of battery the only more suitable from the different prong to the negside of the battery and see if the fan come on and the motor no longer undesirable. or you are able to verify it and use a digtial volt ohm meter to make certain in case your are growing to be ability with it plug in yet when no ability then its the relay
