No other president has suffered such vitriol.

What is it about the man?

Seems like only herded conservatives are blind to the REAL G.Bush

Good question. There are a number of reasons - probably foremost is the fact that he believes that he has the god-given right to do whatever the heck he wants, and that the rest of the world can shove it if they don't like this. That's exactly what he did in Iraq - despite the fact that the war had popular support in no other nations, Bush insisted that he was right and would invade regardless of anyone else's opinion. The fact that he was utterly mistaken and that there were no WMDs only made him look worse.

There's also the threats and similar rhetoric - "axis of evil," "Freedom Fries," and all that similar crap. He's mellowed out on some of this stuff in the last year or so, but one has to wonder if that's because of any genuine change in his attitdue or it's his abyssmally low popular support here in the U.S. A few brain-dead folks will keep whining "but... but... look what Clinton did!" but even many republicans are willing to accept the fact that Bush has failed on many fronts.

i can think of tons of reasons...lying, for one...he brings religious issues into politics, which i believe is very wrong...going into Afghanistan in the first place was definitely the right move, if he had stuck with just that i would support him 100% right now...but he decided to spread it to other countries that had nothing to do with it..so now i don't support him.

although he did give us the Bushism calender, i love being able to laugh at our president's stupidity when i wake up every morning.

So a couple hundred left wing nuts in Brazil make him hated globally? In a city of over a million. Yeah right!
