I have a class that learns about the unexplained things in life and this week we're learning about love potions. I know that's not an unexplained thing in life, but it is part of the bizarre, which we also learn about that. This time I don't want to give the kids a worksheet and then they watch a video. I want something else. Can someone help me think of something that I can give them as activities? I was thinking about them making a fake love potion. But I don't know what materials to use...

Well, I hope they are learning that love potions don't actually work. You could make up your own - how about brewed tea, milk, and write someone's initials on a sugar cube with syrup and see if it works. Then explain the confirmation effect - how something might have happened anyway, but people tend to think along the lines of 'because it came after something, the something must have caused it' (can't remember the Latin phrase for this, means something like 'because after, because of').

well i'm not very good at this but i'll give it a wack i think you should have them like get in a group and do the stuff together i mean i love doing that kinda stuff i hope i helped
