One draws the line when it requires sacrificing a piece of themselves. True, mature, love does not require changing who you are to conform to another person's needs or expectations. That is a sacrifice no one should ever make and they will later heavily regret!

The boundaries of love and sacrifice are melted together I think if we are talking about real love. Real love implies whatever anyone does to you, you will bear it, forgive it and continue in love. I always think, in relation to my relationships, if I expect real love in return then I must give real love because I'm not perfect either. This therefore implies sacrifice by not thinking about oneself but doing everything for the other. Does this make sense? Maybe not, its difficult to put into words. I am a Christian so my thoughts are very influenced by the Biblical view of the love of God - that is an unconditional love which merges with sacrifice and that is probably not what you want to hear. Have a good day.

You can't draw a line between them, to love someone unconditionally is to sacrifice a piece of yourself.

Being in love is wonderful, but remember to keep a bit back for YOU. Whatever that may be, respect, dignity, financial or whatever you hold dear.

Keep a little up your sleeve and you will survive.

Does that mean, a man sacrafices his ego to stay in a marriage with an adultress wife? I asked this the other day, with little reaction. I too wondered where one draws the line, I have a research paper coming due and needed more input. Maybe your wording will trigger a different response. Good luck

the barriers of affection and sacrifice are all desperate by skill of the guy. For me, the sacrifices I even have created from love have no barriers on the grounds it is the character of like to me. regardless of the incontrovertible fact that it particularly is in ones maximum suitable activity to have that line ensue till now it starts to result your individual happiness and starts to kill your love and have confidence. Compromise is the stability to sacrifice once you experience you have given too plenty away.

At your comfort level, and that differs with everyone: Some spouses remain with a betrayer, an abuser, a rapist/ molester to their children, endure verbal abuse, and physical beatings. Others leave simply at boredom.
