Trust me on this, because there are various answers above, and some are wrong.

Venus is by far the brightest.

Jupiter is second most of the time

Mars is third, but at its closest approaches to earth is sometimes outshines Jupiter.

Mercury would be fourth, but most of the time it is so close to the sun that it gets drowned out in the glare.

Saturn is as bright as some of the brightest stars and is much easier to spot than Mercury, so I'll give it 4th place.

Uranus is invisible to naked eye, except if you go to a very dark place to view it and you have good eyesight.

Neptune needs a telescope.

Pluto (not strictly a planet) needs a biggish telescope

Which Planet Is The Brightest

That depends. At times Venus can be very bright. So can Mars. Mercury can appear to be a bright star but the two brightest are Mars and Venus. Venus is called the "Morning Star" and is also called the "Evening Star" Mars and Venus both challenge each other for who is the brightest.

I hope that helps you out!

Its Venus. Mercury and Mars are too small, and the gas giants too far away, to outshine Venus.

In fact, other than the sun and moon, Venus will be the brightest object in the sky (when its visible, of course).

Venus. It is closest to the Sun and to the Earth, plus has a dense atmosphere with lots of Carbon Dioxide to reflect the light from the sun. Mercury is just too close to the sun to be considered bright unless under exceptional circumstances. Even then, it's distance from Earth disperses that light too much to match Venus. Wouldn't you know, nothing shines so bright as a she.

That would be, Venus, with a magnitude of -3 I recall, Brighter than jupitur, even brighter than sirius B (The brightest star in the night sky). It is so bright, in fact, it has the nickname "the morning star" since it can be seen when thre sun rises, and the eveming star, since it is the brightest object in the night sky.
