Nixon never suffered from any pardon of Mark Felt, George H.W.Bush never suffered from any pardon of Casper Weinberger, and Bill Clinton only got called a few more names after selling pardons to fugitive criminals. It surely did NOT affect his popularity with the Moonbats!

Bush did suffer by virtue of his Presidential pardon of Former Defense Sectty Cap Weinberger. He was at dead even w Bill Clinton in virtually every poll going into the final weekend before the election , which is when he issued the pardon.

When the pardon was reported his numbers slipped a few points immediately w the revelation , & continued to slip during the remaining three days until the election. Many Presidential historians believe he would likely have won a second term if not for that pardon.

They are talking about past pardons, and forming the conclusion that those pardons had political repercussions.
I thought that much would have been clear from the text.

You apparently disagree with those conclusions. Fine.

But if you read the article, you'll see that Clinton's actions triggered Congressional hearings. And Bush Sr. did the pardon immediately before leaving office, so there wasn't much time to suffer politically.

As for Nixon, enough said.

I don't care to follow that link.

I take it this is leading to the pardon of Cheney's stooge for ratting out an American agent.

So get to the point, without making us follow some link, if you please.
