I stated work at the library as a page shelving books, at 15.
the hours were great and
the pay was better than the fast foods.
I got to work after school or Monday thru thursday nite.
Friday afternoons or weekend morning and afternoons.,
20 hours a week
( i made at least as much as fast food people who worked more hours)
I would there until college.
i went out of town or I would have stayed and got more time. great place to work

i hear grocery stores pay good now.. back then i was paid 5.15 an hour now its close to $8.. thats how it is in columbus, ohio.
