"Human ignorance" in understanding how much of an impact 6,525,170,300 people can have (just imagine the amount of room is taken up just to feed that many people and then think about where all that ends up going).

Obviously humans cause the most havoc, even if you don't consider the CO2 we release into the atmosphere. We simply destroy any thing we get our hands on. We clear cut and burn forests for a few good growing years. We, not necessarily intentually, put many different chemicals into the worlds water supply, and on top of that the places that would normally protect oceans, ie, marshes, everglades, etc, are drained or washed away so that we can build condos and have rivers that can be controlled. Entire mountain tops are destroyed so miners can more easily get the coal. Who knows what kind of impact this could have on our overall weather patterns.

One thing that really gets me is that places we find beautiful because of the natural setting; we pave and add luxury hotels to.

I also wanted to mention that 2006 had worst ocean dead zones ever recorded and I imagine that the red blooms will be even worse this year.

Sorry for the ranting.
