soft-tissue growth found in ultrasound???

Question

I am 36 weeks pregnant and had an ultrasound done the other day. My doctor is sending me to a specialist because she says it looks like there is a soft-tissue growth on my baby's forehead. Dr. said she had never seen this before (scary!!) and could be anything from that area being swollen (never heard of this) to absolutely nothing at all. She didn't tell me how big it was or where exactly it was. Should I worry?!? What is a "soft-tissue growth"?!?!?!

It may be as simple as a cyst. Relax and enjoy your pregnancy and you and baby will be fine. Your stress directly affects the baby so please try not to worry. Soft tissue is not nearly as worrisome as bone growth! Good luck and bless!
