There has to be an incentive to work. Any job should pay considerably more than whatever you get for doing nothing. Other than that, there isn't much you can do. Let them starve? Enslave them. For the women, put them in forced prostitution?
Face it, some people are just useless.

What are you in fantasy land?

You want me to believe that anyone receiving benefits is just lazy? You gotta be kidding me. Do you even have a conceptual thought regarding the processes involved to receive benefits? Who's actually receiving benefits? A knowledge of how case workers justify giving them out?

Just because there are funds made available doesn't mean they aren't spent wisely. You wanna worry about people making free benefits--Why don't you try and wrap your mind around the declining taxation of Corporate entities via the tax loopholes created by NAFTA, CAFTA, Our Free Trade Policies, Tariff vanquishments, and transfer pricing. Don't even think about getting me started on the benefactors of Bush's estate tax pipe dream. Now there's some real welfare--here's a starter link.

The stopping of benefits has been in force for several years. Just before the crime rate went sky high. I'm talking about the young, able-bodied

Politicians seek votes by promising "HELP' for the poor, unfortunate ,unskilled, unemployed.....
-The DEmocrats ALWAYS sell the "you have a RIGHT to get assistance,HELP, better health care, schools, good paying jobs They also add in the rich versus poor whines..
-The REPublicans cut welfare benefits AND required that benefits would be extended IF the individual enrolled in some training program so that they had the skills to get a job..
.--U R Right..too many choose to leave school, then whine they cant make any $$ , others prefer to "work" the system..need help with utility bills, low income offsets from free school lunch/uniforms/fees to working for a few days at X then going to the state and say they were layed off so they need unemployment benefits..The employer can tell the unemployment commission that they stopped showing up for work shift, calls to his # never returned.. BUT the LIBERAL courts generally rule against the employer .(..was this employee warned? or councelled as to his failure to show up when scheduled???) Others get a "bad" back and "cant work"... Many just want everything everyone else can buy But do not wish to actually waste THEIR time working in some job...so they choose other less legitimate forms of getting cash...(selling drugs, running scams, theivery etc..

Liberals always want EVERYONE to BE happy even if they "have problems" and need assistance...AS :LONG AS LIBS/DEMS can tap the Federal Budget hard workers will end up paying for the "others-struggling or who need help or who claim that they r not being treated right because they are
"x" (male/female/race -asian/black/ short/fat/ have no credit rating. POLITICIANS pander to voting blocks supporters and activist groups..they wont risk loosing support ($) or votes..
Reality : all societies have deadbeats who seek to beg/borrow or steal what they want rather than earn it..
Other societies use different methods to prod the deadbeats into working in society ...theives often lost a hand/arm , beggers were peroiodically rounded up and put to work in fields/quarries/construction..those that chose violent crime were either executed or imprisoned and forced to work for their daily food/water. (we give our prisoners internet/TV, rec rooms/workout gyms/libraries/ food/medical/ and clean sheets in a cell with central heat/air
ONE CAN LEAD A HORSE TO WATER BUT NOT MAKE THEM DRINK.... If the horse refused to make the effort to drink, it died...People can be offered many opportunities but THEY CHOOSE what they want to do...
If they dont Want to work...they CHOOSE to scam the "system",steal/ sell drugs, scam other people (collecting for the poor/or thexx shelter/homeless need food) . They choose to use society not be a part of it...

Because bleeding heart liberals feel sorry for lazy people, and just give them more handouts thinking it will will encourage them. It doesn't. It just makes them more dependent on the government. And libs don't care that these people are a burden to the taxpayers.

Because liberals don't WANT them to work! They are trying to convert this country to communism, and lazy people greatly help them accomplish that!

I wish...but hooray for the Leviathan. Short of a revolution, I don't see the socialist programs going away before they go broke.

its annoying, totally.
but if they want to be lazy.......let them be lazy.
if you wanted to be lazy for a while and take a break from everything and someone forced you into work and cut off you life dependence..........im sure you would be a little pissed.
no one is going to be living on benefits forever......and if they do, more power to them
