Hitler was the leader of a country, too. You can acknowledge that a dictator worked his way to the top of his country in achieving power, but "respect"...I don't think so.

None whatsoever! Why have respect for someone who did what he did to his own people? He was all about himself, he cared nothing for his own people. That's why so many Iraqis celebrated when he died. Their stories were so horrific and so sad. The people who supported him were also about themselves and not the good of the people.
