do these e-mail problems have any thing to do with daylight savings time being moved up 3 weeks?

I doubt it because my email worked last night after the daylight savings time had changed. Probably just another Yahoo glitch.

I don't think so. But Window Update had a fix in January for DST, 928388, and my computer changed to DST just fine.
