a rag or paper towel soaked in vinager will reduce bruises.
if not soon enough
try high collared shirts.

A hicky is basically a bruise: blood vessels were broken. So, anything to reduce bruising will help. Cold creams for sports injuries are sometimes available. You can try that.

You have to wait for it to wear off! What actually happens is that the tiny blood vessels just under the skin burst and this causes the marking. There's nothing you can do other than wear a scarf.

Your in trouble huh? try massaging the area, ice usually does help as others have suggested but it does take time, hope it works out for you.

hold the bottom of a spoon on it...put a little pressure and spin it a bit......it's supposed to relieve the blood vesselsor something. That or wear a turtleneck and forget about it.

Lol, there's nothing you can do. No spoon, no toothpaste either. Just wait for it to go away, put a little makeup on it to cover it up. Although they can be fun to get, their not very attractive. See ya!!

stay away from people that suck neck and youd have no problem,only time will rid this cheap looking mark of ownership,or a little makeup to conceal it.next time say NO...

stroke gently with a comb in one direction (not back 'n forth) at a stroke. this breaks up the blood pooling under the skin.

You don't. It has to go away on its own and in its own good time..And they do look so cheap on people...Hickeys are for 12 year olds...
