A hicky is basically a bruise: blood vessels were broken. So, anything to reduce bruising will help. Cold creams for sports injuries are sometimes available. You can try that.

You have to wait for it to wear off! What actually happens is that the tiny blood vessels just under the skin burst and this causes the marking. There's nothing you can do other than wear a scarf.

Your in trouble huh? try massaging the area, ice usually does help as others have suggested but it does take time, hope it works out for you.
Good luck.

hold the bottom of a spoon on it...put a little pressure and spin it a bit......it's supposed to relieve the blood vesselsor something. That or wear a turtleneck and forget about it.

Lol, there's nothing you can do. No spoon, no toothpaste either. Just wait for it to go away, put a little makeup on it to cover it up. Although they can be fun to get, their not very attractive. See ya!!

stroke gently with a comb in one direction (not back 'n forth) at a stroke. this breaks up the blood pooling under the skin.
