Are you singing or miking a bass for recording? In general, microphones and speakers have specific functions. If you plan on singing in public, I would trade my bass amp for a PA system. You will never know how your vioce sounds until you use the right tool for the job.

Yes, as long as the cord and the microphone have male/ female ends.

Example... You want to either get a mic with a plug that is just on long stick.... the usual bass cord.

The only thing is, is that most mics dont have that kind of plug so you will need to get a cord that can plug into your bass, and have a male end to plug into your mic. A male end looks like this.

I also believe adapters are avaliable to change from male to female/ vice versa.

It will work, but the sound won't be true if the treble portion of the sound spectrum (i.e., the higher frequencies) is reduced by the amp's electronics and/or the bass portion is emphasized. But as for compatability, there should be no problem.
