It's tough to say. Both are solid players and put up solid stats. Reyes steals more bases, but Jeter has a better batting average and rbi's. For their respective teams, Jeter is way better. He is one of the best clutch hitters in the league.

Fantasy-wise, Reyes is a stronger performer because of his stolen bases, but if you have another player that gets a lot of steals, then get Jeter.

Although Reyes is without a doubt going to be one of baseball's biggest stars, he is still nowhere near the player that Jeter is. Jeter only miss the American League batting title by a few points last season and is already having a good spring. Jeter is perhaps the most consistent player the game has right now. But it will be interesting to see what Reyes does in the future.

not in fantasy. reyes has much more speed than jeter. the thing jeter has is the RBIs and some HR and some better batting but that stuff is easy to make up. SBs however are harder to come by. take reyes.

That's true, Jeter is not better than Reyes in fantasy, B-U-T he is more than quality and is probably a better pickup considering other positions importance over the SS in the 1st round.

I usually look for either Pujols, Howard, ARod, M. Cabrera, D. Wright, D. Ortiz in the first round.. and look for Jeter to come back to me in the 2nd round, which has happened 3 out of 4 drafts for me this season.

but it's up to you which side you believe is better when it comes to power-hitter & shortstop 1-2 or 2-1 : Howard & Jeter ............. OR .......... Reyes & M. Ramirez or L. Berkman.

No. Close to the same average and RBI's. More HR's-way more SB's. Reyes is a 1st rounder and Jeter is not.
