You nailed it right on the head!!! I looked in the technical specs of the major auto manufacturers and they all call it that "plastic thing at the top of a front car window". Good call!!

the big thing is called a head lining the smaller one that folds down is called a sun visor. if it's external it's called a vinal roof.
