On YouTube, how do some people get away with uploding vids more than 10 minutes?

some vids are like an hour! but i dont see how they do it...

Most of the really long vids were put up before youtube introduced that 10 minute policy in order to deter people from uploading copyrighted shows. But if you want to upload something longer than 10 minutes you have to sign an agreement with them saying it is not copyrighted stuff that you are uploading.
