That's pretty tough.. If all the technologies were the same and stuff, I'd have to say... no clue. Federer just has so much variety to his game, while sampras's volleying and forehand is just as impressive.

WOW, tough one!!! I sure would love to see it. Federer, but only because he's playing now and I can't remember the Sampras game as well-yeah-I know how great he was! LOL

Pete had the BIG serve but his backhand was never tops. Federer has a balanced game with no real weakness.

Toss up, good question, I wouldn't bet that match. I guess I would take Federer.

I'll say Federer, he has more versatility to his game. Although you shouldn't compare players of different eras. competition is different, technology is different(racquets), training and fitness is different and improved.
