you can't force her to listen your music any more then she can force you to listen to her music. But maybe a song at a time you can find a middle ground.

Everyone has different tastes in music. I don't like the "Disney people" songs. I don't like classical, jazz, Stevie Wonder and Tori Amos. Don't force anything on anyone. That's what makes us individuals.

I know kids like that. I have found that many are not receptive to the classics right away, but they will buy into indie pop. Try her on the Shins or something a little more mainstream. After they like that, it will be easier for her to listen to alternative rock, then she will most likely be ready for the music that you like. Sorry it is such a lengthy process, but if that's what it takes, then it's worth it.
Good luck to you, your sister, and music in general!

ok I agree that her music sucks but everyone has a right to like waht they will. Also with time her tastes may change so just let her grow up and gently expose her to other styles of music.

You should let her listen to whatever she wants.
I admit Hilary sucks and so does the cheetah girls etc etc but if that's what she like and enjoys then let her listen to it.

let her listen eventually she'll lyk it if u do. She probably thinks ur the best anyway. let her listen to Disney while she's young. When she gets older reintroduce her she'll lyk and if she doesn't let it go. She has her own style and own taste just let her try it on her own.

Chill. She'll get over it and move on. Its just a phase. I know this, because my little sister went through the exact same thing at one point. Dont worry about it. Just keep listening to your stuff and eventually she'll get into better stuff as she gets older.

You can't and don't try.
Listen to what you like and just hope she grows out of the crapulence phase of music listening; most kids don't ever grow out of it which explains why MTV doesn't show videos any more.
