Because they work SO well!! I dont own one but my friend does....you should see what that thing sucks up!! I have a central vac system....but hope to move to an older home soon......in which case I will need a vacuum...... I have a small dog....thinking of getting one then..... regular vacuums just dont work as well. My friend likes to take it around and vacuum friends homes!!!! She loves it so much.

its called capitalism - a system where everyman is out for himself and is focused on making money out of his product or service (Mr Dyson). If it was invented in the soviet union, the state would own it and make sure everyone benefitted from the invention

They are a great vacuum. I bought mine on sale and I still paid a lot. But it was worth it.

I have heard that they are well worth the money....Thank goodness I have hardwood flooring I can get a mop for $10 LOL

lol i dont know why would you pay 500 dollars for a vacuum?? it just dont make any sense.
