Due to Pippen being overrated & Marion being underrated, I think most people are going to say Pippen....But my pick goes to Marion. Marion is a rare SMALL forward. As a SF Marion averages a double double with points & REBOUNDS, he can create his on plays, he can shoot the 3, he has good defense, and he has nice stats all across the board. Marion & Pippen averages around the same amount of points but Marion out REBOUNDS(the job of a forward) Pippen easily.

Take away the titles, awards, & accomplishments. Because Marion didn't have MJ & Marion's career is not over yet. Just judge these players by their individual talent. I'm NOT talking LEGACY.

marion..hands down...jordan made pippen good,if he was on a jordan less team..pippen would just be another player.

thing is, Marion and Pippen play two different games.
Pippen's one distinct attribute is that he is an excellent ball handler compared to Marion, thus the "Point Forward", whereas Marion is an athletic freak of a combo-forward. What Pippen gives up in rebounds (and blocks) to Marion, he makes up with assists and court vision.
People say Pippen had MJ; I say Marion had Nash. Nash feeds the ball to Marion whereas Pippen complimented Jordan. Yes, Marion can create his own plays, but Nash's arrival just made him a better player overall. Pippen rounded out Jordan's skills and just was a go-to guy, a secondary option to take a major load off Jordan's shoulders.

i think pippen is better because he can move better with the ball compared to marion. both have the same defensive skills of guarding the best players on opposing team, big or small.
